Last post for today, I swear.
I've been practicing my vectoring skills in photoshop over the past few weeks and since I did work fairly hard on these I thought I'd post them here. I'm still an novice at vectoring, but they are free to use if anyone wants to use them.

Notes: Yes, I have quite the fondness for the Dearly Detached Dexter. Screencapping season 1 was probably one of the only productive things that I've done with my time offline. I'm a little disappointed with the quality of these images. Aside from the usual vertical stretching the actual source quality of the DVDs were pretty poor. Luckily the main purpose of these screencaps are icons and small graphics so they shouldn't be too much of a problem. Some caps contain nudity, violence, gore and disturbing imagary. This may not be suitable for all audiences. Zips uploaded to my sendspace account. Enjoy.

Small Hiatus Tuesday, November 20, 2007
Just in case anyone would like to know, I'm going on a temporary hiatus. I'm in the process of moving and I don't have the time to do anything.

After I've moved completely and gotten internet access again I should have the time to do something. 50icons: Same thing. Even though I haven't made a claim yet I still fully plan making one when things settled. Possibly Avatar: The Last Airbender or Dexter. I'm just letting it be known that I'm not flaking out on you. I'm just unable to fulfill any obligations to the communities at the moment.

Notes: To make a long story short, I recently had to switch DVD player programs due to the fact that my old one (PowerDVD) had conflict problems with Windows Vista and I couldn't justify spending $100 on the newest version just to take screencaps. I thought it was the end of my capping days until I did some research. I found a blessed program called AVS DVD Player (don't worry. I ran a virus & spyware check after install. It's clean.) from Download.com. It allows me to play DVDs, take screencaps and it is FREE to boot. I haven't had any problems with video quality since it captures by video source (my preferred setting) and it hasn't crashed on me yet. Huzzuh!
Getting to the point: Some caps may contain disturbing imagery. Due to the way that it was animated some of the high-action scenes are a little blurry. I tried my best to capture scenes with minimal blur, but sometimes it couldn't be helped. If it's shrunken down to icon size it shouldn't be noticeable. Zip files are uploaded to my sendspace account. Enjoy!

I'm super proud with how a few of these turned out. I discovered recently how to use that soft red light and I've been going nuts with it. XD;; I've also been playing around with textures again. Good times. I'm still in a screencap mood, so. Yeah. You'll probably see more in the future.

Notes: OK. I discovered that the problem I was facing with the stretching rested with the fact that I was taking screencaps using "original video source". I switched the capping option to "window size" and the problem went away. Good news: no more stretching. Bad news: The image sizes are bigger. Bigger image sizes = bigger zip files. There is also a jump in dimension size after 0321. >_>;; I fiddled with the screen size when I first started capping and I accidentally clicked off PowerDVD and the window rest itself. After that the images stay one consistent dimension. Zip files are uploaded to my sendspace account. Enjoy!

I think I'll just stick with capping from the original source rather than the window size. The video source is still a good size and the file size is usually smaller. Now that I've gotten that out of my system it's back to Ghost in the Shell.

Notes: There seems to be some minor vertical stretching with the caps. If you have a graphic editor (Photoshop, ect) then this shouldn't be a problem. My DVD player program does this sometimes and I haven't a clue as to why. I made captures of scenes and images that interested me and I thought that it would make a decent icon.
